The Gordon is a historic motel in downtown Jasper, Arkansas, and is the gateway to the breathtaking Buffalo National River and the Ozark National Forest.
Outdoor enthusiasts can explore to enjoy a landscape packed with natural beauty, diverse waterways, and wildlife. Paddle down scenic rivers via canoe or kayak, explore and hike hidden trails, mountain bike hundreds of miles in the Ozark National Forest, or cast a line and fetch fish from clear streams.
If you crave an adventure or adrenaline rush the Ozarks provide rock climbing, heart pounding ziplining, horseback riding, ATV and a dirt bike wonderland opportunities.

All of our beds and linens are new. Our mattresses and pillows are waterproof, hypoallergenic, and bedbug proof encased for your health and safety.
We have completed remodeling our Single Queen Rooms, you will find pictures of our newly tiled showers, bath and wall fixtures below.
Our property is still undergoing remodeling of other rooms, including our office, and grounds in a gradual process. We appreciate your understanding during all phases of our journey in improvements of this historic property for The Gordon.

COME SEE THE ELK!!
September to mid-November is the mating season for Arkansas Elk population. During this time, bull elk compete for the attention of cow elk by bugling and fighting. NOW is the time to set your sites on visiting the area. Ponca and Boxley Valley are only 12 miles away from The Gordon. Early morning and just before sunset are best times to catch them.
Your hosts welcome you to The Gordon. We believe in “Southern Hospitality” with a smile here in the Ozarks. It is our intention to welcome you to a clean, comfortable location to clear your headspace in our relaxed atmosphere.
Robin and Jeff are wilderness and conservation educators and have been working in the hills and hollars of the Ozark and Ouachita National Forests together since 2014.
Our passion for the outdoors has led us to the charm and grace of Jasper and the Buffalo National River, where our work with the National Park Service, US Forest Service, and regional schools have brought us to plant roots at The Gordon. We hope to enrich the property with future classes, events, and workshops.
